Think of it as your own remote wilderness sanctuary, easily reached by boat from beautiful Sitka, Alaska.
The Lodge & Grounds
Our intimate wilderness resort sits on 5 acres of land at the north end of Middle Island, surrounded by the pristine beauty of Sitka Sound. With a maximum capacity for just 24 guests at double occupancy and operating with at least as many staff, allows for a personalized level of service that cannot be matched by other lodges in the region.
The cozy, well-appointed Main Lodge, complete with a window-wrapped dining room, casual bar, and fireside den, will welcome you home from the day's adventures. Just outside, a mix of open-air and covered decks with fireside seating offers spectacular settings to enjoy the views with family & friends - rain or shine. If you are feeling like celebrating in the evening hours, be sure to spend some time at the Wild Escapes Pavilion, with a sheltered bar, covered game areas, and great music.
Our wellness program, nestled in a rainforest grove separate from the main lodge and cabins, offers an incredible space for refuge and healing. Facilities include purpose-built shelters for yoga, massage, and a variety of wellness treatments. Many guests will want to set aside some time every day to rejuvenate in the spa, sauna, and cold-water plunge.
Exceptional Accommodations
The newly renovated lodge rooms and beach cabins at Latitude 57 will ensure you're well-rested and revitalized for your daily fishing & wilderness adventures. All accommodations seamlessly blend luxury with nature, surrounding you with the comforting scent of cedar and providing spectacular views of rugged coastlines, uninhabited islands, and snow-capped peaks.
There are two deluxe studio suites with separate entrances located in the Owner's Cabin, just south of the Main Lodge. There are six more private cabins located just west of the Lodge. All suites and cabins are thoughtfully designed to accommodate 2-4 guests each, with two deluxe queen-size beds, a sitting area, and a private bathroom & shower.
Also, in the Owner's Cabin, there are four separate bunk rooms of different sizes, able to accommodate 1 to 4 guests each. The bunk rooms share multiple bathrooms & shower rooms located a few steps down the hall, plus convenient guest-accessible laundry facilities.

Our Signature Culinary Experience
From the welcome reception on the afternoon of your arrival to the farewell breakfast on your day of departure, our goal at every opportunity is to delight your senses of taste, smell, and sight. Our Chefs value a table set with fresh, sustainable ingredients, where every menu is fashioned to accent local flavors while providing our guests with an experience that reflects the culture and essence of life in Southeast Alaska. All meals are tailored to your day's activities with a relaxed, personal service standard that is always mindful of your reason for choosing to stay with us.
Depending on your personal preference, breakfast can be light and continental-style or fresh-hot and made to order. Lunch offerings are picnic-style for those out engaged in full-day activities or a choice of fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches for anyone spending the mid-day hours at the Lodge. Dinners are an alternating mix of family-style feasts and four-course extravaganzas. Cocktail hour and dinner beverages include a hand-picked selection of domestic & craft beers, wines, and liquors. Coffee, tea, cocoa, and a variety of non-alcoholic cold beverages are always close at hand.
